State university building, retro-commissioning

The university required the renovation of the existing 92,176 sq. ft. engineering building hall located in Raleigh, NC. The engineering hall was originally constructed in 1965 and underwent an expansion in 1983 and then a renovation to include a controls upgrade in 2007.

The renovation project consisted of providing retro-commissioning services and working with the design team to ensure that new mechanical, HVAC and plumbing systems were in conformance with project design and intent through the planning, investigation, analysis and reporting phases.

After performing design document and submittal reviews, our team conducted utility review and benchmarking, trend review, staged equipment validation and testing, validation of environmental controls and energy-focused performance testing.

Outcomes
