Peter Hosford, CIH, CSP, and Senior EHS Program Director, gave a speech on Industrial Hygiene topics at the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Worcester County Chapter.
On Thursday, February 23, 2017, Pete Hosford presented an informative EHS presentation called, Industrial Hygiene - The “Health” in EHS Management. The presentation started with a brief history of industrial hygiene followed by a quick discussion of toxicology and chemical exposure risk assessments. Other topics that were discussed included occupational exposure limits, types of OELs, how to calculate TWA, ways to handle multiple chemical exposures, adjusting the OELs for extended work shirts, and noise assessments.
If selected, Pete will give the same presentation at the New England Area ASSE Professional Development Conference later this year. For more information about Industrial Hygiene or any other EHS related matter, please contact Pete Hosford at [email protected] or [email protected].
