BURLINGTON (March 14, 2023) – EBI Consulting is pleased to announce that its headquarters has earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ENERGY STAR® certification for 2023, performing in the top 25 percent of buildings nationwide for energy efficiency and reduced carbon emissions.
Out of ENERGY STAR’s 1-100 scoring system, EBI’s headquarters, located at 21 B Street in Burlington, MA, received an 82, meaning that it is more energy efficient than 82 percent of properties nationwide. EBI previously received ENERGY STAR certification in 2021, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013 and 2012.
EPA launched the ENERGY STAR program in 1999 as a voluntary way for building owners and operators to effectively track and verify energy use and emissions impact in commercial real estate properties across the U.S. compared to similar properties.
“With prioritizing energy use, cost efficiency, and environmental sustainability at the forefront of our values and mission here at EBI Consulting, we are honored to receive the ENERGY STAR certification for our Burlington headquarters,” said EBI Consulting CEO and President, Nolan Previte. “With our expert Energy and Sustainability team leading the charge in energy certifications, and our record of guiding clients in their own ENERGY STAR certification and cost reduction journeys over the last decade, we’re committed to leading by example in protecting the world we live in and making a positive fiscal and environmental impact.”
This latest recognition follows EBI receiving the ENERGY STAR Certification Nation recognition for 2022. To celebrate the program’s 30th anniversary, the EPA launched the special one-time recognition to organizations who certify five or more buildings in 2022, with higher tiers of recognition available based on the number of buildings certified. In 2022, EBI Consulting achieved the second-highest tier, Executive Members, after certifying 72 buildings. EBI joined 12 other companies in the “Executive Members” category.
