BURLINGTON (May 8, 2023) – EBI Consulting is pleased to announce Darcey Hott and Keith Spolan have been promoted within EBI's Real Estate business unit.
Darcey has been promoted to Executive Director of Operations and Practice Leader of EBI’s Real Estate Traditional business, where she will advance timeliness, quality, and profitability within the practice. In this role, she will be responsible for managing field experts and working closely with all team members to improve market expansion, service delivery, utilization of resources, training, general management, and recruiting and retention.
In recent months, Darcey led efforts to improve scheduling and project completion efficiencies, improve client communications, and automate processes within the real estate practice. These efforts have led to steadily increasing company performance, and client satisfaction and acquisition.
Darcey first joined EBI in November 2013 as a Sales Executive, later being promoted to Operations and Strategic Partnerships Manager and then Operators Manager overseeing the Northeast, mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions of EBI’s real estate operations. Throughout these roles, Darcey improved both client and employee experiences, and collaborated across EBI’s various teams to enhance services.
Darcey earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a triple major in psychology, sociology and anthropology from Towson University. She also earned a Master of Science degree in organizational development from McDaniel College. Darcey is based out of EBI’s York, PA office.
“Congratulations to Darcey on her expanded role to head Real Estate Traditional Operations,” said Jeff Smith, Executive Vice President of Due Diligence Services. “Since she first joined EBI, Darcey has employed her exceptional organizational and process improvement skills to improve efficiencies and business practices throughout the practice, advancing results and profitability, market expansion and better serving our clients. Darcey has already made a notable impact within EBI’s real estate services, and I look forward to working with her to continue advancing overall efficiency and effectiveness in her new role.”
Additionally, Keith Spolan has been promoted to Director of Operations of EBI’s Agency Due Diligence practice. In this role, Keith will partner with practice leader Dan Balbo to continue to advance the practice and will be responsible for managing the operations, field staff and project coordination teams. He will continue to engage and collaborate with the entire Due Diligence leadership team among other various key members of the organization to deliver client satisfaction, efficiency and profitability.
Keith joined EBI in August 2001 and has held a wide variety of roles within the organization, serving in both regional and national practice management roles, overseeing productive operations, resource sharing, program monitoring, analysis and planning. He has hired key personnel and established the processes and foundation for several new service lines, maintaining growth and success throughout the company. He has also served as a senior technical quality control reviewer and as corporate organizational development leader aligning strategy, people, and process.
Keith’s most recent focus has been providing support, leadership, and insights to the Due Diligence practice leadership team by applying his keen understanding of the impact of business processes on financial performance. He has worked to educate and inform teammates on how to improve efficiency, increase profitability, measure performance and improve EBI as a whole, as well as provide internal support services and data analytics to identify organizational constraints and courses to actions to remedy.
