A Recap of EBI's 2014-2015 Philanthropic Initiatives - Part 1

03/08/2017

Every year EBI employees participate in local or national charity events, coordinate philanthropic initiatives close to their heart, and/or donate to each other's causes. EBI would like to draw attention to some noteworthy causes that have taken place over the past year, and thank those employees who have been actively involved in bettering their communities.

The following are some highlights from 2014 and 2015.

 Habitat for Humanity

This past Saturday, a team of EBI employees spent their day volunteering at a Habitat for Humanity build. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that builds and renovates affordable, energy-efficient homes for families in need. While the family receiving a home puts 225-400 hours of work into their house, HFH also relies on volunteers in the community to donate their time. Throughout the day, our team worked on installing the front door, measuring and installing vinyl siding, cutting wood and building the roof of the porch, and prepping for insulation.

Liberty City NYC; Hope for the Future

EBI NY employees volunteered with Hope for the Future at Tompkins Square Park in Manhattan. Hope for the Future distributes pantry goods and prepares hot and cold food to the homeless, elderly, and poverty stricken residents of NYC. A special thanks to EBI employee Darrell Cheng and his wife Nathalie for coordinating this event with EBI NY employees, and thank you to everyone who donated their time to such a great cause!
