Meet Aaliya
Aaliya Lokhandwala joined our growing Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team earlier this summer as our ESG Intern to assist with exciting new projects and collaborate with colleagues across the company. Aaliya is currently a junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, pursuing a degree in Engineering Technology and Management in Agricultural Systems.
Why ESG?
Aaliya plans to use her education to implement sustainability in various business practices. She seeks to promote the importance of sustainability for the future of our planet and be a catalyst for a green business domino effect.
As an ESG Intern, Aaliya dedicates time to researching clients in an effort to improve our reporting and strategy development process for our ESG business unit. In doing so, she has learned the importance of ESG and its impact on every type of business. Overall, this summer provided Aaliya the opportunity to gain greater insight into the ESG domain and equipped her with the tools to apply sustainable services to all business areas.

Summer fun
Aaliya is spending the summer in the Greater Chicago area, staying on the go both in- and outside her home office. Aaliya enjoys exploring Chicago’s finest natural areas and going on walks. Outside of her ESG work at EBI, she works at a local ice arena and babysits in her neighborhood. Not to mention, her newfound passion for horror novels will keep her busy before school starts!
