The construction is concrete framed separate wings with punched openings in precast concrete panels and a high central lobby framed with heavy laminated wood columns, beams, and deck with exposed steel framing supporting an exterior aluminum curtain wall.
The building is equipped with four Roof Top Units (RTU) ranging from 50 to 75 tons. Three of the RTUs are equipped with Energy Recovery Ventilation, in the form of heat wheels. The RTUs are packaged units, and include natural gas heating and DX cooling. The RTUs serve various VAV boxes and fan powered boxes throughout the facility. The vast majority of the terminal boxes are equipped with electric reheat. Various exhaust fans are located on the roof and provide ventilation to bathrooms and fume hoods. Ductless split systems are used to cool electrical and IT rooms.
Lighting at the new building consists of 100% LED interior lighting, and exterior lighting has metal halides for the parking area with LED bollards and walkway lighting. Wall switches and occupancy sensors control interior lighting. Exterior lighting is controlled by a photocell.
