NEPA Environmental Assessments (EA)
EBI Consulting is first and foremost concerned about your tower construction. If it is necessary to perform an environmental assessment, EBI Consulting’s goal is to complete the process as accurately and efficiently as possible to ensure that there are no environmental concerns, thus allowing your construction to proceed and the tower to go online.
After assembling a NEPA checklist report, if the findings determine that the proposed wireless facility will affect one of the "environmentally sensitive categories" defined in Section 1.1307(a) or (b), then the licensee must answer "Yes" to question 28 on either FCC Forms 600 or 854. Once this question is answered "Yes," the filing is treated as a "major environmental action" and Section 1.1308(a) requires that the licensee prepare an environmental assessment to consider its effect on the "environmentally sensitive category."
An environmental assessment explains the environmental consequences of the proposed action and provides sufficient information for the FCC to determine whether the project will or will not have a significant environmental effect on NEPA criteria.
