Department of Homeland Security Regulations for Chemical Storage Facilities

New Homeland Chemicals Security Regulations: EBI to Provide Seminar on Who's Affected and What's Required

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has released an interim final rule that imposes comprehensive federal security regulations for high risk chemical facilities. This rule establishes risk-based performance standards for the security of U.S. chemical facilities. It requires covered chemical facilities to prepare Security Vulnerability Assessments, which identify facility security vulnerabilities, and to develop and implement Site Security Plans.

EBI will be holding a free seminar (in conjunction with CMDR David Smith, from Trident Consulting) to review this requirement from 11:00-1:00 on May 30, 2007 at the Beechwood Hotel in Worcester, MA. The program will cover:

  • What industry sectors are most likely to be affected by regs (and why);
  • Impact of new regulations on facility engineering, staff training requirements;
  • What is required for security planning and vulnerability assessments under the new regulations;
  • Developing and implementing an effective security plan

To register for this important and informative seminar, please contact Susan Marrano at smarrano@ebiconsulting.com
