Responsible for providing health and safety consulting services to biotech companies, biopharmaceutical companies, research facilities, health care institutions, educational institutions, and diversified manufacturers. In this role we expect that the employee will be primarily dedicated to one or two biopharma clients in the greater Boston area. In this role, the candidate should have strong expertise as relates to health & safety consulting, particularly with biotech firms, universities and hospitals. The candidate should also have a background in health & safety programs, health & safety training, and EHS compliance management., The Staff H&S Specialist should have a strong educational background, with an Bachelors degree in occupational health & safety, industrial hygiene or related scientific discipline., and have suitable certifications (e.g; ASP or CHMM,)

Primary Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Provide H&S consulting services to Life Sciences clients
  • Develop health and safety training programs for lab settings, clinical areas, and/or R&D facilities
  • The Staff H&S Specialist may serve as outsourced EHS staff for EBI clients
  • Develop and implement various H&S programs including chemical hygiene, lab safety, radiation safety and biosafety.

This position will require you to perform PCA and/or ESA field inspections of various property types, including industrial, commercial, and residential properties, as well as, telecommunications installations. You will perform independent research of local, state, and federal resources; interview persons familiar with the property and conduct historical research to compile the information required for PCA and ESA reports in accordance with ASTM standards and client specific scopes of work. Candidates must be able to work from a remote (home) office. Primary responsibility will be to complete ESA and/or PCA reports including all field work, data compilation and report preparation each week, depending on the scope of work and terms of employment. In addition, the successful applicant may conduct Phase II Subsurface Investigations, construction loan monitoring, or energy audits. Applicant will also be responsible to follow all documented policies, work instructions and operating procedures of EBI in support of our quality and safety standards.

Professional Experience Requirements:
3 to10 years experience completing and/or managing Property Condition Assessments, and/or Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, and/or engineering consulting. Excellent report writing skills are essential and will be evaluated. Knowledge of HUD and/or other government-related scopes of work preferred as well. Asbestos and LBP Inspector Certification is a plus. Position Description:

The Site Acquisition Project Manager shall have experience coordinating and completing all aspects of Site Acquisition of wireless telecommunication sites including raw land sites and collocations on existing towers, rooftops and water tanks. The successful candidate will have experience with all Site Acquisition drivers from search ring analysis, leasing & zoning, permitting. The candidate shall also have the ability to direct a team in the execution of various site acquisition and zoning assignments. Assist with the document development such as RFP’s, RFI’s, and Bids for potential new projects. Prepares, reviews and/or approves various reports, forms, correspondence, e-mail messages, logs, budget documents, and group goals and objectives. Ensure quality and completeness of documentation. Communicate activities with team members and other departments, as needed. As needed- reviews zoning drawings prior to submittal for compliance with public agencies and client requirements. Manages the Site Acquisition/Zoning Specialist as they coordinate with tower owners and/or private landlords to negotiate and secure lease entitlements as defined by project scope. Provide the Quality Control over the preparation and submittal of land use entitlement applications and presentations. Provide Quality Control over Leasing & Zoning Ordinance Reviews for site modification projects. As needed – attends field site visits for candidate and engineering viability. He/She will be a dependable self-starter with excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills, as well as an ability to work independently on multiple projects at one time.

Position Description

Duties will include the following: Candidate will be responsible for Asbestos, Lead, Mold, and other Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) project management as well as associated remediation management. Frequently, turnkey Hazardous Materials identification and remediation services are provided. A secondary responsibility is to complete Project Capital Needs Assessments (PCNAs) in accordance with ASTM Standard E 2018-08 and HUD MAP/LEAN requirements to augment/benefit the growth of our Real Estate Services and HUD department. EBI Consulting is a full-service Environmental consulting company with 24 years of experience successfully assisting national real estate investment firms and lending institutions with environmental and engineering due diligence. This position will require you to perform extensive reviews of construction plans and contractor’s cost estimates as part of the HUD MAP 221d4 program and participate in weekly conference calls with borrower, lenders, architects and contractors. In addition, occasional field inspections of various property types, including industrial, commercial, and residential properties may be required. You will perform independent research of local, state, and federal resources in compiling the information required for real estate due diligence.

Requirements

Successful candidates will possess 8 to 10 years direct construction experience at the Project Superintendant level or above. 3 to 5 years completing and/or managing HUD Architectural and Cost Review reports. Experience with multifamily properties across the country preferred. Additional experience completing and/or managing Project Capital Needs Assessments (PCNAs) in accordance with HUD MAP and LEAN requirements.   • Excellent time management and organizational skills. This position will require you to simultaneously manage electronic deliverables for multiple ongoing projects,
  • Ability to complete assignments on-time and within budget,
  • Ability to travel on short notice (1 week or less). This position will require travel primarily throughout the region, as well as occasional trips throughout the US in an effort to support national needs. The position typically involves approximately 10-15% field time and 85%-90% office time.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of accessibility codes (ADA, ANSI, FHA, UFAS, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of applicable building code requirements on both a national (IBC, UBC, etc.) and local level (e.g. Chicago, NYC, etc.)
  • General understanding of building systems, including structural, MEP, roofing, etc.,
  • Experience managing client relations and understanding the intricacies of the HUD new construction process,
  • Experience in relations with architects, contractors as well as borrowers and lenders,
  • Experience with construction loan monitoring a PLUS,
  • PCNA experience a PLUS.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction related program.

Registration and Professional Requirements

Must be either a licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect with experience in the real estate/construction due diligence industry.
