LEED Feasibility Studies

The USGBC's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system is the leading standard in sustainable design and operation of commercial real estate buildings. With rating systems available for New Construction, Existing Buildings, Commercial Interiors, Core & Shell, and many others, and with certification levels including Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum, the process can be overwhelming. EBI can help your project get started with a Feasibility Study (sometimes called a Gap Analysis).

During this process, EBI's talented and diverse staff of LEED Accredited Professionals (APs) will perform an initial assessment to review your project against the appropriate LEED Certification rating system to determine the most logical credits to pursue and the associated costs to pursue them. Your report will establish estimated price levels to achieve each of the different levels of certification, along with a priority path to establish the most logical and cost-effective way to LEED Certification.

EBI staff include LEED APs who have passed the Existing Buildings specialty exam and who have earned the new AP O+M specialty designation. Our knowledge of the Existing Building rating systems - version 2.0, Existing Buildings Operations + Maintenance (EBOM), and LEED 2009 - is rivaled by very few in the sustainable consulting industry. Our staff have served as Subject Matter Experts for the Green Building Certification Institute in the development and beta-testing of the AP O+M specialty accreditation examination and have participated in the certification process for several buildings under the 2.0 and EBOM programs.
